Accounting Innovation Challenge 2021

The Accounting Innovation Challenge (AIC) is jointly organised by the Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC) and CPA Australia. ISCA is the strategic partner of AIC 2021.

As the only accounting hackathon in Singapore, the AIC brings together the accounting industry, technology start-ups and education institutions to collaborate and co-create innovative solutions to address common business challenges faced in the sector. Last year, 82 teams pitched ideas to drive innovation and productivity in the accounting industry.

The hackathon is sponsored and supported by the accounting industry, government-linked organisations and ecosystem enablers:
Big 4 accounting firms
Accountancy professional bodies: ACCA, ICAEW, IMA, ISCA
Government partners and institutes of higher learning: ACRA, IMDA, NYP, NTU, NP, SIT, SMU, SP, TP
Ecosystem enablers: Action Community for Entrepreneurship, Singapore FinTech Association

AIC 2021, the 4th iteration of the hackathon, will be run as a fully virtual hackathon to ensure the safety and health of our participants. It will consist of a series of activities starting with an information session webinar on 18 August 2021 and end with a closed-door finals on 8 October 2021.

Participants can connect with leading corporates and industry practitioners to kickstart collaborative innovation, as well as receive mentorship and industry guidance to validate solutions. Winning teams stand to win prizes ranging from $2,000 to $5,000.

We welcome both teams and individuals, from all backgrounds (accounting, business, IT, etc) to sign up for the hackathon. Individuals will be provided assistance to form teams with other participants. Participants can register at https://accountinghack.sg.
