Seminar Overview

The process of securing funding can be overwhelming for first time entrepreneurs. Bird & Bird ATMD’s funding primer will address questions of particular interest to start-ups looking to secure their first round of funding. Aside from practical considerations such as timing and types of financing, the session will include an overview of the typical legal issues which bear consideration when seeking venture funding.

Speakers

Marcus is head of Corporate Group in the Singapore Office. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, equity capital markets and regulatory compliance work. He also advises on corporate governance and Singapore stock exchange related matters. He is involved in regional cross border transactions in PRC (including Hong Kong), Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and India.

Jolie is Counsel in the Corporate & Commercial practice group in the Singapore office. Her experience includes involvement in and advice on a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters in particular, capital markets (ranging from IPOs to privatisation exercises), private equity investments, as well as private mergers and acquisitions.
