This talk is for all young tech start-ups who want to know “what do I need to know about the law?”. When you are at the starting line, you are probably grappling with a thousand problems every day and do not have the time to delve into legalese or to over-analyse legal risks. However, it is also unwise to ignore all legal risks and to bear the consequences when they arise down the road (after they have snowballed!).

We have crystallised 3 areas of law that tech start-ups most likely have to grapple with at the get-go – and are most likely to be sources of problems if mismanaged. We will be sharing the basics of these 3 areas of law, when and where you should be identifying relevant legal issues, how to avoid major and common pitfalls, and when and how to lawyer-up.

Date: Friday, 23rd of August 2019
