We are looking for an Android developer who will be responsible for the development of applications running on smartphones and android-based wearable devices. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the product both in Singapore and US.
Responsibilities
• Develop high quality code running on Android Smartphones and Android-based Wearable Devices
• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs and help maintain code quality and automation
Qualifications
• Good knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Good knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and common libraries
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Understanding of code versioning tools, bug tracking and requirement management
• Familiarity with using sensors such as gyroscopes/accelerometers is an advantage
