Job Description:
The IT Department in EDB is on a transformation journey.
As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to manage multiple and challenging IT projects; working closely with internal business users and external partners to deliver high quality infrastructure services to support EDB’s digital initiatives.
Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
•Overseeing the delivery of the critical infrastructure services such as server compute, network, information security, and data centre services
•Engaging business users to define their digital needs
• Work closely with other IT (Application) team members in the planning and designing of new technology platforms
•Where appropriate, lead the setup, configuration and maintenance of new systems
•Assist Head of Department in managing IT infrastructure budget
•Managing existing or evaluating new IT vendors
•Ensuring all documentations are up-to-date, and acting as 3rd level support for infrastructure-related cases
•Performing periodic review and improvement of system capacity and performance, access control rights, risks and compliance, and processes.
•Planning and executing business continuity plan, including disaster recovery
Job requirements:
To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be:
•Degree or Minor in Information Technology or equivalent
•At least 3 years’ experience in managing any of the following IT or infrastructure projects: •Microsoft platforms such as Windows Servers, SQL Server, Hyper-V, SharePoint, TFS, SCCM, Application Release Management
•SAN and backup systems
•Working experience with any of the following: •Writing and maintaining PowerShell
•LAN and WAN setup and configurations
•Disaster Recovery
•DevOps
•Pro-active, with a demonstrated ability to manage or lead projects and manage stakeholders
•Good written and spoken communication skills
•An independent worker who is able to effectively prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment
•Some experience in or knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Solaris or Oracle Database, would be advantageous
