Our client provides high performance engineering solutions to companies dealing in robotics. Our client believes that robotics could play a significant role in making people’s daily lives easier, faster and safer.
They are now looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to help them develop probably the first ever ROS2 powered commercial mobile robot that could be applicable in hospitals, manufacturing and other facilities to take care of menial and repetitive tasks. In this role you will
work with a small team to design, develop and test autonomous navigation capabilities. You will also assist in test driven development, devops and bug fixing
The Profile
You have a degree in Computer Science or related field as well as at least 2 years industry experience. You additionally possess the following skills:
· Knowledge of unix shell scripting
· Familiarity with mapping and localization algorithms
· Experience implementing pose estimation algorithms and filtering techniques
· Experience in programming embedded real-time systems
· Experience implementing motion planning algorithms
· Experience developing for embedded systems and knowledge of computing architecture and developing drivers
· One or more years of experience coding in C++, three or more preferred
· Knowledge of Robot Operating System(ROS) is good to have but not mandatory, FastRTPS is a plus
· Experience in ROS-I, Moveit is a plus
· Experience with version control, git preferred
· Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, small-team environment
