4xLabs is a fintech company that uses technology and services to bring together communities of money service businesses and travellers. We have developed an integrated platform for money services businesses, providing them with a set of tools to improve their efficiency (business management, market data, compliance), connect the community globally (customer acquisition, wholesale trading), and ensure their viability with new business opportunities through technological innovation (eg. world's first banknotes trading platform).
Currently, customers from more than 30 different countries trust Biz4x as their platform of choice to run their daily operations, and our global footprint is constantly growing. Our customers are scattered across Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe, Middle East and the US. Likewise, our team is international, with our headquarters in Singapore, and our people from all around the world. Our technical team is split between Singapore and Vietnam, and we have a network of regional sales offices.
Over the last couple of years, we have expanded our product and service offerings to professional services, fintechs as well as large financial institutions. We are now looking for a team leader who can continue to build on our strong technical foundation, refine our existing product and develop new services for our new segments.
4xLabs is seeking a hands-on tech leader with experience building and managing teams to head up a global engineering team. They will report into the CEO and be an integral part of the management team that sets the strategic direction of the company.
The Role
As the VP of Engineering, your role will be to inspire and guide each and every member of the team to success, as well as deal with any roadblocks that might get in the way of that success. We are seeking an experienced manager with outstanding technical skills to complement our existing team, to support the implementation of the processes and structures on which our growth is predicated, and to lead the execution of challenging development activities on our comprehensive application road map, ensuring high-quality work and on-time delivery. You will be expected to drive efficient and effective processes and tools for development, continuous integration and deployment.
You will need to keep up to date with trends in engineering and shape company technology strategy. You will be the owner of software engineering, software architecture, security practices, DevOps, infrastructure best practices, processes and engineering principles.
Responsibilities
- Strategic planning for the direction and control of product development activities
- Formulate long-term objectives and standards of performance for the department
- Assure that the team achieves objectives within budget and time frame
- Ensure implementation and subsequent refinement is a mandatory stage in the development cycle to support product development process
- Ensure that product development is focused on meeting and exceeding the customer requirements
Qualifications
- Good understanding of our technology stack: .NET Core, Angular 2+, AWS
- University degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 5+ years experience in engineering
- 2+ years experience in team management
