Job Description:
The field of IT security is of growing importance, with the increasing reliance on computer systems, and growth in the use of ‘smart’ devices for work.
Organisations including EDB, are increasingly evolving their IT and ICT policies and practices, to protect their information systems from theft, damage (to hardware and software) and disruption. This includes control of physical access to hardware, as well as via network access, date and code injection.
As part of the EDB Information Technology (IT) & Security team, you will be responsible for governing and reviewing information security and Information Communication Technology (ICT) security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures, to safeguard the Board’s information assets
Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
•Conduct IT security reviews, vulnerability assessment, penetrating testing and risk assessments of IT systems
•Assist other teams in the IT division (eg. application, infrastructure and business operation teams) on technical aspects of information security
•Ensure compliance with security polices, standards and procedures, and provide guidance on implementation of security controls
•Identify and evaluate new security technologies, for possible adoption in EDB
•Handle and respond to security incidents as well as conduct investigation of security breaches
•Conduct training to raise awareness on IT security; contextualising technical concepts in a manner that general and new users can understand
•Maintain IT disaster recovery programme
Job Requirements:
To meet the challenges of this role, you must possess the following:
•Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent
•Some working knowledge or experience in IT security, systems and network areas
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Knowledge of security packages in infrastructure and application security, as well as security standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 20000, ITIL, would be advantageous
